Weather Wonders (Grades K- 4)

Get weather-wise in this hands-on program. Explore earth’s weather and how it forms. Watch a cloud in a jar and learn how meteorologists use weather-measuring instruments. Class starts at 1:00 pm. (Duration: 45 minutes)

Electricity and Light (Grades 5-9)

Your hair will literally stand on end in this exciting and electrifying program. Interactive demonstrations will show the differences between static and current electricity. Experiment with a plasma ball and see the “electric pickle” to learn how electricity can be conducted in a most unusual way. Explore the visible light spectrum and have some thought-provoking fun with light. Class starts at 2:00 pm. (Duration: 45 minutes)

 

  • Weather Wonders (Grades K-4) - 1 pm - 1:45 pm
  • Electricity & Light (Grades 5-9) - 2 pm - 2:45 pm

Museum hours on Feb 6 are 9 am-4 pm. Prices include Museum admission and program fee. NC Sales tax is applied to admission. **Please note new prices for youth admission for those children ages 1-4 years old, attending the day's visit, apply. (Ages 1-19: $9.00 plus tax)

Preregistration is required. 20 student limit in K-4 class. 50 student limit in 5-9 class.
